For the last few weeks iv been working on a small cottage that's going to be situated in the Karoo. This is my first time doing a full set of council plans and let me say it has been a stressful few weeks. As the client kept changing the plan layout and due to that I had to keep changing my elevations and sections. However iv been learning a lot and even though I do make a few mistakes now and then. I try and be as professional about the situation. So far I have done a set of plans, 4 sections, elevations, roof plan, electrical layout, door and window schedule. Even though it might get stressful always changing your drawings, I guess in the real world a client is never really certain  what they want until the structure is built

Due to having this extra project on my plate, my day is now split up into two parts, in the morning I work on the retail shop layouts and after lunch I work on the Karoo cottage. This keeps my day extremely busy as I like to make sure that whatever I'm working on in the morning is done before I start with the cottage.

Time flies by and I'm very lucky for that. As it shows that I really do  enjoy what I do.However I still feel that after only studying for a year I don't feel that comfortable working as it seems that some times they don't realise I'm just a student and still has a lot to learn. As well as the fact that for some details and information I find it really hard to find and where do I even start looking for all this information??? sometimes Google doesn't know and if I go to a library which book would you even think about taking out??? and due to this my self esteem drops immediately and I feel that I'm just wasting my time interning

having these up and downs I'm just taking each day at a time and god willing this year will be as successful and a great learning opportunity as it should be.
